Hawks Ridge was built using conventional framing and insulation. The exterior veneer is 2 x 8 log siding and log corners. The roof has 30 year architectural shingles. This home was built in the Sky Cove development overlooking Bryson City, North Carolina. The home has a large covered porch and open deck that enables it's occupants to enjoy a day in the sun or in the shade overlooking the mountains.
The interior was designed to open up the front of the house by incorporating glass panels into the plan to maximize the view of the mountains. The interior stone is river or creek stone native to the area and the walls and ceilings are 1 x 6 T&G pine paneling and drywall. The interior handrails are custom made locally and add a rustic feature to the interior.
